Membership information for Voices in Harmony:

 The regular season for Voices in Harmony runs from late August to April.  We perform 3 concerts during this time: a fall concert in November, the Sing-Along Messiah in December and a spring concert toward the end of April.  All of these concerts are performed at the Raue Center for the Performing Arts, in Crystal Lake.  Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm at Bethany Lutheran Church on Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake.  An ability to read music and a love of choral music is the requirement for membership.  A voice check will be required to place newcomers in the correct section.  Membership fees are $85 for the regular season regardless of when you join throughout the season.  The only exception to this is if you sing only for the Messiah – then the fee is $30.  Members are required to purchase concert wear – a tuxedo for the gentlemen and a long black dress for the ladies.  These are purchased through the choir at a cost of approximately $90 for the tux and $60 - $75 for the dress, depending on which style is chosen.

During the summer, we perform at Main Beach in Crystal Lake on the 4^th Tuesday of June.  Rehearsals usually begin for this concert in June.  We also sing with the Crystal Lake Community Band for the fireworks concert at the lake around the 4^th of July.  The fee for the summer concerts is separate - $30 approximately.  Concert wear for these concerts is more casual – red, white and blue.  Members will also have the opportunity to purchase a VIH polo shirt for this concert.
