2011 – 2012 Concert Series
Festival Of The Voice Sunday, November 6, 2011 4:00 PM (This Time May Change) Raue Center for the Arts Voices in Harmony will be joined by at least 14 ensembles from all over McHenry County representing the diverse vocal offerings available. This festival will show how many people of all ages are involved in choral singing. Join us for this celebration of music in our community!
Sing-Along Messiah Sunday, December 11, 2011 4:00 PM Raue Center for the Arts Community and choir join their voices in harmony with Handel’s great masterwork. It is presented with a 25-piece orchestra, excellent soloists and projections of beautiful calligraphy by Timothy Botts on the texts being sung. The chorus of McHenry County College will supplement the on-stage choir leading the audience. This is one of our area’s most meaningful holiday traditions.
Vaughn Williams: Hodie Sunday, January 8, 2012 11:00 AM Holy Cross Lutheran Church Libertyville, IL Sunday, January 15, 2012 4:00 PM Raue Center for the Arts Voices in Harmony will join forces with the choir of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Libertyville to present the choral masterpiece Hodie (This Day) by the renowned English composer, Ralph Vaughn Williams. This festive work for chorus, children’s choir and soloists will be presented with full orchestral accompaniment. It is sure to be a unique experience not to be missed!
