Tenor Peder Reiff has been praised and admired for his naturally warm and clear voice, astonishing range, musicianship, and stage presence. He has recently been seen in a variety of roles, ranging from the tenor soloist in Carmina Burana with the Music Institute of Chicago, to Borsa in the Quad Cities Opera production of Rigoletto, and can currently be found performing with Music of the Baroque, the Chicago Symphony Chorus, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago Chorus. As a graduate student at Indiana University, Mr. Reiff studied under world famous bass-baritone, Giorgio Tozzi, and while there, he was in extraordinary demand. He currently holds the record for having the most named roles in a single Indiana University opera season, having appeared in six out of seven operas in one season. An accomplished concert and oratorio artist, Peder will make his solo debut with Music of the Baroque in January as the tenor soloist in their “Glover Conducts Mozart” concert. Most recently, Reiff has performed with the Music Institute of Chicago, Fort Wayne Symphony, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, Opera Illinois, and the Crystal Lake Symphony, as well as numerous other orchestras and symphonies throughout the United States. Performances with these companies have ranged from greatest opera hits to classic oratorios. Peder has been seen performing opera with opera companies throughout the country - most recently Opera Illinois, L’Opera Piccola, Opera for the Young, the Chautauqua Opera Company, and the Seagle Music Colony. Favorite roles currently include Nemorino in The Elixer of Love, Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte, and Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus. |
